Job Title: Residential Care Specialist

Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Pay: $28,000 – $35,000 (subject to qualifications and experience)
Schedule: Full-time and part-time shifts available (Day, Evening, Overnight, Weekends)


Position Overview

Keystone Care Network is a trauma-informed group home supporting youth ages 12–17 in a structured, therapeutic environment. As a Residential Care Specialist, you will provide daily supervision, emotional support, and consistency that helps youth feel safe and build a foundation for healing.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who are calm under pressure, emotionally mature, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage with youth during daily routines and structured activities
  • Assist with meals, hygiene, medication reminders, and transportation
  • Support emotional and behavioral regulation using trauma-informed practices
  • Use trained techniques for de-escalation when needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly home environment
  • Complete required documentation including shift notes and incident reports
  • Collaborate with other staff and leadership as part of a care team

What We’re Looking For

  • High School diploma or GED (required)
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Emotionally grounded, calm under pressure, and respectful
  • Willing to learn and participate in required training
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible shifts
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • CPR/First Aid and NCI+ certification required (can be completed upon hire)

Position Overview

The Therapeutic Program Coordinator plays a vital leadership role within Keystone Care Network’s residential program for youth ages 12–17. This role is responsible for supporting the clinical and behavioral stability of the home by coordinating treatment services, mentoring staff, and helping to create consistent, trauma-informed routines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of individualized service plans and person-centered goals

  • Provide on-site leadership to Residential Care Specialists and Support Staff

  • Serve as liaison between clinical team and direct care team

  • Monitor day-to-day routines and address behavioral or environmental issues in real-time

  • Support crisis de-escalation and provide backup during behavioral incidents

  • Participate in service planning meetings, documentation reviews, and quality assurance

  • Maintain strong communication with supervisors and contribute to team development

  • Monitor progress of youth and provide regular reports and updates as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services, psychology, social work, or related field preferred

  • Experience working with youth in a residential, behavioral health, or therapeutic setting

  • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional regulation, and leadership ability

  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and team supervision

  • Must be at least 21 years old

  • Must pass background check and drug screening

  • CPR/First Aid and NCI+ certification required (can be completed upon hire)

Schedule: Primarily overnight and early morning shifts (Part-Time and On-Call Available)


Position Overview

The Support Staff Member position is ideal for individuals who are new to residential youth work and want to grow into a full Residential Care Specialist role. Support Staff help maintain a calm, safe, and structured environment during overnight hours and morning transitions. This role includes routine supervision while youth are asleep and assisting with early-morning prep as they get ready for school.

It’s a great opportunity for college students, night owls, or those looking to enter the field with training and hands-on experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and supervise residents during overnight hours

  • Conduct regular room checks and document observations

  • Assist youth in the mornings with hygiene, breakfast, and school preparation

  • Provide calm, consistent support and respond appropriately if issues arise during the night

  • Communicate clearly with day staff during shift change

  • May be called to assist with daytime coverage or special activities if available

  • Attend required trainings and shadowing as part of onboarding


What You Can Expect

  • Quiet overnight shifts with extended downtime for studying or reading (while remaining alert and on duty)

  • Clear structure and routine expectations

  • Full training provided to prepare you for advancement into a Residential Care Specialist role
